Exhibit A: My 3rd attempt at knitting. This time around, I’m learning colour changes, and how not to drop stitches. It shall be a scarf for the little brother.

Exhibit B: My first real paper cutting. A4 white paper laid over black card. I will glue it later. I need some good glue first. It was a battle between detail and simplicity, but I think I’m leaving this cutting here, and will learn more about that balance next time I get out my scalpel.

I love the paper cutting so much! I never worked out how to do it so it “worked” — is there a special technique?
The only special thing I can think of is that you should cut out the smallest, fiddliest bits first, because once you start cutting out big areas, the structural integrity of the paper is compromised (or something
)
